General information about the Bucephalandra sintang

The Bucephalandra Sintang is a compact, unique aquarium plant with leaves that vary in shape, size, and texture. Its colors range from deep dark green to shades of purple and blue, depending on the light and water conditions. Because this plant grows on lava rock , it's incredibly easy to install and ideal for both aquariums and paludariums. Besides its beautiful appearance, the Sintang also helps purify water and provides hiding places for your fish and shrimp. A plant that's not only beautiful but also useful in your aquarium.

The great thing about the Bucephalandra Sintang is that it's already attached to lava rock. So you don't have to fiddle with wire or glue. Simply place the rock in the front to middle of your aquarium, preferably in a slightly shaded corner under wood or stone. The roots and rhizome will stay nicely on top of the lava rock, allowing the plant to grow and establish itself naturally. A gentle current is ideal: enough to carry nutrients along the leaves, but not so strong that the plant constantly sways.

Pruning theBucephalandra Sintangis simple. With sharp scissors, you can cut away older leaves as soon as they become less attractive. You can carefully remove new shoots and place them elsewhere in your aquarium. You can alsorhizomePropagate yourself by cutting it about every 4 cm, as long as each piece has only a few leaves. This keeps the plant healthy and compact, and you'll also create additional Sintang plants to enrich your landscape.
