General information about the Nymphaea Green Tiger Lotus

The Nymphaea Green Tiger Lotus stands out with its vibrant green leaves, which feature detailed textures and contrasting colors. This creates a spectacular visual effect in your aquarium. Moreover, this lotus plant, which grows from a tuber, creates a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal addition to aquascaping. With proper care, this plant can also send out offshoots, making it easy to create new plants!

In addition, the Nymphaea Green Tiger Lotus offers several benefits. It helps improve water quality by absorbing nitrates and other nutrients, resulting in a healthier aquarium. The leaves provide hiding places for fish and other animals, while also ensuring optimal lighting and oxygenation in the aquarium.

Finally, this plant needs slightly more iron and soil nutrients. Therefore, it is recommended to use a nutrient-rich substrate or clay pellets.

Note: You'll receive the plant as a tuber. It will produce and grow lilies within 8 weeks!

Planting the Nymphaea Green Tiger Lotus is a simple and straight forward process!

Start by selecting a suitable spot in your aquarium, preferably on a quiet background or to the side for best growth.

There are several ways to plant the tuber: you can attach it to a ceramic ring or simply place it on the bottom of the aquarium.

When attaching the tuber to a ceramic ring, make sure it is not too tight, so that the plant does not rot.

If you choose to plant the tuber directly on the bottom, make sure no more than a third of the tuber is embedded in the gravel for stability. Eventually, the plant will separate from the tuber and begin to grow, producing beautiful new leaves that will enhance your aquarium. All you need to do is be patient and enjoy the development of this tuber!

Pruning the Nymphaea Green Tiger Lotus is a simple yet effective way to control the plant's size and shape. Begin by identifying any wilted or damaged leaves; these are best removed to improve the plant's overall health. Using sharp, clean shears or pruning shears, carefully snip the leaves off at the base, close to the tuber.

It's also important to keep an eye on the plant's lily shoots. These can be pruned if you want the plant to stay a bit shorter. Pruning can be done whenever necessary and helps the plant continue to grow wider.
