General information about the Microsorum Pteropus Java Fern Mother Plant XL

Bring an impressive piece of green to your aquarium with the Microsorum Pteropus Java Fern Mother Plant XL. With an impressive diameter of approximately 30-40 centimeters, this XL version is a real eye-catcher. The Java Fern; also known as Microsorum Pteropus; is a very popular aquarium plant that can grow quite tall. We also offer this plant in a 5 centimeter pot. However, please be careful never to plant the plant directly in the soil; this can cause suffocation. Always place the rhizome above the ground or; even better; tie the plant to an ornament; such as wood or stone; with a string.

How do you propagate a rhizome plant? Propagating Java fern cuttings is easy. Simply cut off every four or five fronds from the rhizome and plant it in the same way as the original plant.

A handy tip: pay attention to the lighting. The Java fern doesn't like bright light. Therefore, always place it at the back of your aquarium, preferably in the shade. Make sure the rhizome gets sufficient water flow so that floating debris is filtered and doesn't get stuck.

With the Microsorum Pteropus Java Fern Mother Plant XL, you'll bring a beautiful and striking plant into your home that will add a touch of natural beauty to your aquarium. Create a lush environment for your fish and enjoy the soothing sight of this unique plant.
