- Plant food. One of the four essential components of a planted aquarium!
- Dosing can be daily, but also weekly.
- The plant food is safe for all aquarium inhabitants.
- The plant food does not cause algae!
How does it work?
With 1 liter of Aquatic Plant Solution plant food, you receive two sachets of nutrients. Mix one sachet with 1 liter of water in a clean 1-liter bottle. The second sachet also needs to be mixed with 1 liter of water in another clean 1-liter bottle. This creates two 1-liter bottles of plant food: one Micro and one Macro.
How much should I dose?
- For normal amounts of plants and light, you can start with 10ml per 100 liters per week.
- With many plants and lots of light, you can eventually use 20ml per 100 litres; start with 15ml per 100 litres per week.
- With many plants + lots of light + CO2, you can eventually dose 30ml per 100 liters per week; start with 20ml per 100 liters per week.
How long does 1 liter of Aquatic Plant Solution last?
This depends on the size of your aquarium. For example: At the maximum dosage of 30ml per week in a 100-liter aquarium, the plant food will last you eight months !
Will this plant food provide enough for all my plants?
Not all plants obtain all their nutrients from water. Some plants, such as Cryptocoryne Sword (Echinodorus) and Hygrophila, require supplemental nutrients directly at the roots. We also sell nutrient capsules (Flourishcaps) for this purpose on our website.
By not supplying ready-made plant food in disposable plastic bottles, we also support the environment and combat plastic waste; and the plant food has a longer shelf life!
